detaļa.studio is a small garment studio working out of Riga, Latvia. The name comes from the Latvian word for detail — the place where a garment becomes itself: the weight of a seam, the turn of a collar, the curl of the letter ļ.

Created by the need to stand out by the simplicity of a detail, that creates and finishes the whole garment. We believe that what makes a garment memorable is not always what draws the most attention. Sometimes, it is the smallest element - a subtle mark, a considered stitch, a texture, a line - that gives the piece its identity.

We make clothing in short numbered runs. No seasons, no surplus - only pieces we would wear ourselves, cut from cloth we trust and finished by hand. Each drop is small enough that we can attend to every piece, and final enough that it stands on its own.
